About

Culture Spark is a Chichester District Council initiative. It was formed in 2022 in partnership with Chichester Festival Theatre and Pallant House Gallery in response to the end of the Pandemic.

Our aim is threefold:

To celebrate the beautiful district in which we all live – from Midhurst to Chichester, Selsey & the Witterings to Petworth & wherever in between.
To use the arts to help rebuild local communities by offering accessible events and creative workshops including to schools & community groups across the district.
To provide opportunities for local artists to lead projects and/or explore their own creativity.

Our Landscape pop up exhibition in Petworth & Chichester, Autin Dance at EARTH DAY. Fold our Town in Midhurst & Petworth and Get Creative! family workshops in The Guildhall, Priory Park.

Highlights in 2022

First Spark! in Chichester Cathedral, at Medmerry Windmill (Selsey) and Cowdray Ruins (Petworth). A Carnival of Lights, lantern parade led by Chichester Festival Theatre. A touring photographic exhibition celebrating Volunteers.
